The social work cohort joined other colleagues of the health care profession of the NIHSS at UNISEY Auditorium on Friday 29th April 2022 to celebrate their milestone achievement as they were conferred with their Diploma in Social Work certificate. The head of state President Wavel Ramkalawan, Minister Patricia Francourt, Minister Peggy Vidot, other senior government officials, parents and teachers.
Students of the social work course proved that they took their studies seriously as three amongst the twenty-three students clinched prizes for their hard work; Verina Helene clinched the prize for best academic award whilst Lorraine Mondon won the prize for the best in practice award. Both joined Social Services Division in January 2022 along with five other colleagues of the same cohort.
Minister Francourt proudly presented the prize to the winner of best performer in health studies whilst Minister Vidot presented Daniel Mahoune of the social work cohort with the prize for the best person centered-care award.
After the ceremony Minister Francourt, Principal Secretary William-Melanie and Director Social Services Ms Laboudallon congratulated the seven proud graduands and posed with them for a souvenir photo.
The ministry wish the graduands all the very best as they embark on the next journey to practice their noble profession to make a difference in the lives of families, individuals and children.
