During her first team meeting, Minister Charlette expressed her appreciation and privilege to be heading the Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Equality. She noted that the social work profession is a noble profession and thanked the staff of the Department for the work done over the years. She recognizes the challenges faced but as a team working in unity and shared purpose we can make meaningful changes in the lives of many families. Minister Charlette was presented with a brief overview of the Department’s mandate and services offered by the various division and sections. We look forward to a new chapter to continue providing efficient service to enhance the lives of families and children in our society.
Minister Charlette ended the morning with a tour of the offices to greet and meet staff of the Department.
