This high-level committee is co-chaired by Minister Patricia Francourt, Minister for Employment and Social Affairs, and Minister Justin Valentin, Minister for Education.
Serving as a key body within the project’s governance structure, the Steering Committee is tasked with providing strategic input and guidance to ensure the Youth Hope Project achieves its objectives.
The committee comprises 13 members, representing various institutions, including:
• The Ministry of Education
• The Department of Social Affairs
• The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Family
• The Seychelles Police
• The Seychelles Infrastructure Agency
• The Department of Finance
• The Public Service Bureau
The meeting commenced with opening remarks by Ministers Francourt and Valentin. Following this, members were introduced, and discussions were held regarding the terms of reference for the committee. These terms were adopted, and it was agreed that meetings would take place on a quarterly basis.
